Nike has an epic history of collaborations, including with Kanye West, BAPE, and now also the jewelry company Tiffany & Co. The collaboration brings together two huge brands, each leading in their own industry, in a partnership that features each brand's signature.

What does the collection offer?

What do the items cost?

What makes them so special?

Let's dive into the new Tiffany x Nike collection.

The fusion of sport and luxury: Nike Tiffany & Co. Collaboration

What is Tiffany & Co?

You know Nike — obviously — but do you know who Tiffany & Co is?

Tiffany & Co is one of the oldest jewelry brands in the US, specializing in silver and silverware.

Over the years, Tiffany has been seen in countless collaborations with popular brands, and now also Nike.

One of Tiffany's brand signatures and trademarks is the blue color, popularly known as Tiffany Blue.

Nike Tiffany Co collection

At the end of January 2023, Nike and Tiffany announced their collaboration.

A collaboration that goes in many different directions. On one hand, they release exclusive shoes (and wow, some bangers), and on the other hand, some insane collector's items have been made that can be purchased individually.

Let's jump into the products.

Nike Air Force Tiffany 1837

I mean…

Just look at this model, an all black Air Force 1 with a Tiffany Blue swoosh.

As I see it, this collaboration could have gone two ways.

- A super bold model that pushes boundaries

- A classic model with ultra-delicate details.

We got the second, and I am really happy with the result.

This Air Force is a model that screams luxury and exclusivity. The model consists of suede with a silver detail on the back, instead of on the shoelaces, which the Air Force 1 is otherwise known for.

And that’s exactly what the price screams too — luxury.

The model costs 400 USD (approx. 2800 kroner), and is naturally limited (1837 pairs, to be exact), along with the silver objects included in the collection.

The shoe's name — 1837 — comes from the year the Tiffany brand was founded by Charles Lewis Tiffany.

Tiffany X Nike silverware

Besides the extremely cool Tiffany Air Force, the collection is followed up with collectibles in silver.

In the collection, you’ll find Nike Air Force shoelace tags, a shoehorn, a sneaker cleaning brush, and a whistle with a chain. All with both Nike and Tiffany branding — and of course in high-quality silver.

These are probably some of the most interesting collectibles I’ve seen from a collaboration like this.

Prices for the Nike Tiffany collectibles range from 250-475 USD (approx. 1700kr - 3300kr).

The prices make a huge statement, clearly saying these objects are for collecting, not for use.

Imagine deliberately wearing a silver brush worth 2000kr dirty and worn?

Ouch.

Nike Air Force Tiffany 1837 Reverse

Yes, two pairs of Air Force were made, but unfortunately Nike disappoints here.

This model will not hit the market.

Man, that’s really a shame.

This model is kind of the opposite of the original 1837. Tiffany blue leather details and sole with a black swoosh and white midsole.

If this had hit the market, it would have been snapped up immediately.

The shoe was likely made for friends, family, and VIPs.

The crowning achievement - a silver shoe box

As the crowning achievement, Tiffany & Co made a single shoe box of pure silver at their factory.

Mind blown.

It took 155 working hours to make the box and it weighs about 10.5kg.

The price is unknown. It was not public. Only those brave enough to ask the right people about the price could find out.

The silver box was bought immediately after release by a presumably very wealthy sneaker lover.

Conclusion

When Nike and Tiffany teased the collection, they called it "legendary" themselves, and honestly, I have to agree.

The collaboration exudes finesse, class, and taste. Nothing is overdone — just a collection of two legendary brands.

What do you think?

Did you get one of the 1837 pairs that were released?
