HOW MUCH DO YEEZY SHOES COST?

What do Yeezy shoes actually cost, and how do the expensive resale prices even make sense? You and I will explore these questions together in this blog post, where hopefully you'll gain a better understanding of Yeezy in the resale market.
But first — an introduction.
Yeezy through the years
Most people probably think of the collaboration between Adidas and Kanye West when talking about Yeezy shoes, plus that they are some of the most expensive sneakers you can buy. That makes sense, as they are basically the only ones you can get close to buying with an average income.
Kanye, also called Ye and Yeezy, has however made sneakers with major brands long before teaming up with Adidas.
Here is a brief history.
Extremely limited work with Nike
Ye's first sneaker collab was with Nike, when his first album “The College Dropout” was released. At an unknown time between 2005 and 2006, the first Nike Air Max 180 with Ye's bear mascot came out.
Together with Nike, Ye made several concept and sample models that never became more than very small collections.
The most famous shoes from the time with Nike will undoubtedly be the Nike Air Yeezy 2 from 2014, which was also the rapper's last collaboration with the iconic sportswear giant.
From Nike to Adidas
From the deteriorated collaboration with Nike — plus some small collabs with Bape and Reebok — the Yeezy brand as we know it today emerged.
Shortly after ending the collaboration with Nike, the first of the Yeezy shoes Adidas was to produce landed.
The first to hit stores was the Yeezy Boost 750. A futuristic high-top sneaker with a sole never seen before at the time. The iconic Boost sole.
Model number two is one of the most sought-after, iconic, and expensive sneakers you can get your hands on today, bearing the name Yeezy. The first Yeezy Boost 350, also called Turtle Dove.
Turtle Dove was the first big shot Yeezy Europe felt, and the shoe made people line up for days in front of every sneaker store that had secured the shoe.
And the rest is history
Since Yeezy hit Europe, the brand and collaboration have only grown, until it recently completely fell apart.
Some of the most memorable models we have gathered here.
Yeezy Slide
The minimalist and iconic Yeezy slide hit the market for the first time in December 2019. Yeezy slide is probably one of the most affordable shoes Adidas has made with Ye, which has contributed to the sandal being snapped off shelves, time and again.
The cool thing about the design is the minimalism and the classic touch that clashes with innovation in material and sole.
Yeezy slide is a clear favorite at Sneakerzone, and among our customers.

Yeezy Foam Runner
This model is totally “love it or hate it”. Yeezy foam runner came out the year after Yeezy slide, in 2020. Yeezy Foam was the starting shot for some of the most experimental models we've seen from the collaboration.
That's why the shoe has been so controversial. Some hate the shoe for not being practical enough, but we at Sneakerzone love it for being completely its own.

Yeezy 700
This is a shoe that has had its own life and will undoubtedly become a true classic. Yeezy 700 has V1, V2, and V3 models. All versions speak to us in their own way, but with the same DNA.
Our favorite is the classic Wave Runner, which is also one of the most expensive sneakers in that line.

What do Yeezy shoes cost - the meaning behind the prices
After Yeezy and Adidas ended their collaboration, Adidas announced they expect to lose one billion USD in revenue in 2023.
Which shoes Adidas will earn that money on is still uncertain. However, the statement says something about how big a part of Adidas’ brand Yeezy has been during the mere 8 years the collaboration lasted.
Prices from the manufacturer
Ye's intention with producing sneakers has always been that everyone should be able to get a pair of Yeezy.
It also seems that it has been exactly everyone who wanted a pair, as the shoes have been snapped off shelves every single time there was a release.
Customers lucky enough to get a pair of Yeezy slides did not have to pay nearly as much as on the resale market.
You could get a pair
700 DKK Yeezy Slide
1600 DKK Yeezy 700
1700 DKK Yeezy Boost 350
800 DKK Yeezy Foam Runner
We can probably say goodbye to prices like these now that the collaboration has ended and the Yeezy brand is facing headwinds.
Resale market
The shoes have been snapped off shelves, and many people are left without a pair of Yeezy. What does that mean?
That demand is far greater than supply.
And when demand for the shoes is so enormous, there will always be opportunities for honest businesses, private collectors, and unfortunately also scammers and fraudsters, to make money.
Some of the reasons why Yeezy sneakers cost nearly double — and sometimes much more — you can find here.
Handling secure resale
Reselling Yeezy shoes was inevitable. Therefore, it is important for sneaker stores like us to provide you a safe place to buy the shoes so you don't get scammed.
Verification that the shoe is authentic
Ensuring the shoe is authentic is the most important thing we must guarantee as providers of rare and exclusive shoes. Unfortunately, this is also what most people get scammed on when buying from private individuals. At Sneakerzone, all our products are 100% authentic. Everything is verified when it comes into our custody and when we send it on to you.
Supply and demand
The supply of Yeezy shoes does not meet demand. This raises the value of the shoes Adidas has launched with Ye over the past 8 years. These are simple market conditions that sneaker collectors and businesses may have to follow.
Running a business
As a business and collector, you can't avoid the fact that you have to run a business. We need to earn more money than we spend on acquiring sneakers so that we can offer you the large selection with as much security as we do.
Rarity
The rarer a shoe is, the more its price will increase. For example, you can often see that the very large sizes are more expensive because they are harder to get. This is because often not as many are produced in that end of the spectrum. In the same way — and even more so — it works with the very large and iconic shoes, such as Turtle Dove, which made Adidas/Yeezy explode. If you have a pair from the first release, you are sitting on a gold mine.
Conclusion
Unfortunately, you can't give precise prices on what a pair of Yeezy costs on the resale market. The only thing you can look at are estimates, due to a moving and fast market.
